From the Amazon to the World: How International Visibility Transforms Indigenous Fashion

We're proud to share the remarkable journey of MI Moda Indígena. This Amazonian fashion project has garnered significant attention in the global news.

In September 2025, MI Moda Indígena showcased their latest collection, "Amazonian Experience: Indigenous Clans," at The Future of Fashion event during London Fashion Week.

Why does international visibility matter?

For indigenous communities in the Amazon, participating in prestigious global events isn't just about fashion, it's about:

  • Economic empowerment through creative industries

  • Cultural preservation and celebration of ancestral traditions

  • Breaking barriers for indigenous designers in urban contexts

  • Building bridges between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary fashion

The project's international success has garnered significant media attention back home, with features in renowned publications such as Jornal A Crítica newspaper and Portal Memorial News in the Amazon, demonstrating how global recognition creates a ripple effect that inspires and empowers local communities.

At Bullock Inclusion, we believe that true fashion innovation comes from diverse voices and sustainable practices. By providing visibility to projects like MI Moda Indígena, we're not just showcasing beautiful garments; we're supporting entire communities, preserving cultural heritage, and building a more inclusive fashion industry.
